EBAY TO AVOID. I bought an item for $1000. Two weeks after the delivery deadline, I sent a notice to Ebay to report that I had not received this item. Two weeks later, no response from Ebay. So I called in California to explain my case to them. The lady promised me she would investigate and get back to me. So I waited about a month. One day, I receive an email saying that the case is closed and that there was no further recourse possible!!!. Wow! what a surprise. I had just lost $1000. You should know that the seller, in China, closed his account one week after I made the purchase. Possibly he left Ebay right after receiving the $1000 payment. So, since Ebay cannot get the $1000 refunded, because the seller closed his account, they therefore cannot refund me, despite their 100% security policy. Every time I try to reach Ebay, they tell me that this case is closed and that there is nothing to be done. A scam by Ebay. A lack of responsibility. This dispute was never resolved. Ebay deliberately closed this dispute to avoid being responsible for paying $1000. What a scam!!! 😞 I am an honest buyer who paid out $1000 for an item I never received. What does Ebay do in this case? Well, nothing! They get away with it.
