Update on the Canada Post strike
Summary: seller_news_team shared an update regarding the Canada Post strike, but didn't provide any details in their message.
As the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) enters its second week of strike action, some sellers are concerned about the possible impact on their performance metrics. If this strike affects you, eBay will take the necessary steps to automatically protect your account from defects, including in regard to the following:
- Defects related to a late shipment
- Rate of uploading valid tracking information
- Negative or neutral feedback (provided that you uploaded the tracking information and the parcel was scanned by the carrier before the request was created)
- Seller-initiated cancellations
In addition, we are currently adjusting the expected delivery dates for buyers in Canada and asking them to be patient given the situation. If your shipment is delayed, we recommend that you let your buyer know.
We will continue to share updates with the eBay Community, and we invite you to check the Canada Post website for more details.
As always, thank you for selling on eBay.
