Update regarding the strike at Canada Post
Summary: seller_news_team did not provide details regarding the update on the strike at Canada Post.
On September 25, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced the start of a national strike that will affect all Canada Post services, including domestic, inbound and outbound, and international shipments. Letters and parcels currently in the postal network may be affected.
As a result, Canada Post services have been disabled for eBay labels. Shipping labels with FedEx and UPS remain available. Consider adding other shipping options to your listings, such as local pickup.
eBay Canada is doing everything it can to minimize the impact of labour disruptions at Canada Post on your business. We have extended estimated delivery times for buyers and improved protections against item not received disputes. Please note that you must upload a valid tracking number to benefit from these enhanced protections.
In addition, we will take steps to automatically protect your account against defects, including with respect to the following:
- Defects related to a late shipment
- Rate of uploading valid tracking information
- Negative or neutral feedback (provided you have uploaded tracking information and the package was scanned by the carrier before the case was created)
- Seller-initiated cancellations
We will continue to monitor the situation and will send you the latest updates as they become available. You can stay tuned for updates in the eBay Community or directly on the Canada Post website.
As always, thank you for selling on eBay.
