New European Union tariffs now in effect for low-value imports

To ensure a smooth buying and selling experience, eBay has updated its import fees experience for eligible transactions and will continue to support cross-border trade to the European Union.
What this means for sellers
Because of these changes to European Union customs requirements, buying Postes Canada shipping labels on eBay is temporarily suspended for shipments to the European Union. Sellers must buy their shipping label directly from their carrier to complete the shipment.
For sellers using eBay International Shipping, applicable import fees, including customs duties, will continue to be covered under the program. Buyers will need to pay the applicable import fees at checkout and should not have to pay any additional import fees upon delivery.
For sellers using their own shipping methods, carriers may collect import fees as part of the import process. Some carriers may begin requiring Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping to the European Union for certain services or destinations. Sellers should check with their carrier for the new European Union requirements and review their rates and shipping terms, if needed.
What this means for buyers
For items shipped through eBay International Shipping (eIS), applicable import fees will be shown at checkout. Buyers should not have to pay any additional import fees upon delivery.
For items shipped using the seller's shipping method, carriers may collect the applicable import fees as part of the import process. Depending on the shipping service used, the carrier may contact buyers about the applicable import fees before delivery. Delivery times may also be longer than usual during the initial rollout period as carriers and customs authorities adjust to the new requirements.
