Protections for sellers following service interruptions related to wildfires
Summary: The participant seller_news_team raises the issue of protections for sellers in the event of service interruptions related to wildfires. The discussion has not yet received any responses.
Wildfires as well as air quality from smoke caused by the fires are having a significant impact on shipments in several communities across Canada. We are closely monitoring the situation and will offer eBay sellers additional support to protect your detailed seller ratings during this period.
In the current context, you do not need to worry about your seller performance due to service disruptions caused by these events. If your business is affected, we will automatically protect your seller performance, including with respect to:
- Late shipment rate
- Valid tracking upload rate
- Item not received requests associated with a delivery delay (provided that you uploaded tracking information and the package was scanned by the carrier before the request was created)
- Dissatisfaction caused by canceled transactions due to out-of-stock or inability to fulfill the order
In addition, we will remove any neutral or negative feedback left for the affected transactions, as well as feedback related to service metrics concerning item not received requests
You do not need to contact Customer Service to benefit from these protections.

As always, thank you for your loyalty, and take good care.
